Update - 2nd March 2011: Sadiq has now written to the Chair of the Strategic Transport and Planning Oversight and Scrutiny Committee outlining the concerns residents have about this matter. You can read his letter here.
Sadiq has recently written to Wandsworth Council, outlining concerns residents have about the introduction of controlled parking zones between Fieldview Road and Trinity Road.
While well aware of the pressures placed on parking in the area, Sadiq is concerned that the original consultation was not as clear as it could have been, and that the results may not have accurately reflected the views of local residents.
These CPZs are currently under review, and Sadiq is trying to ensure that the final decision is made in the best interests of residents living in this area, and that the whole process has been transparent and fair.
While the consultation period has now closed, Sadiq will be making further representations to Wandsworth Council regarding this matter, when the review goes to the committee stage and is voted on – Email
