|Holocaust Memorial Day|
|Thursday, 27 January 2011 15:25|
Today marks the 66th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz - and is marked around the world as Holocaust Memorial Day. It's a day to remember the millions who died in the Holocaust, but also subsequent genocides in Cambodia, Rwanda and Bosnia, and atrocities that are taking place around the world today, such as in Darfur in Sudan.
The Holocaust Memorial Trust have produced a video to mark the day. The theme is 'Untold Stories' - its aim is to understand why so many stories remain untold, and to help us to recognise the importance of making a stand when we see persecution or discrimination taking place in our communities today.
