Transport for London have informed me of upcoming roadworks at the Northern end of Mitcham Lane, starting on Monday 7th June and lasting for two weeks.

As a result Mitcham Lane will be closed northbound between Ambleside Avenue and Tooting Bec Gardens (see map)

The works will be carried out 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, and 8am to 2pm on Saturday and Sunday.

The following diversion will be put in place to ensure that traffic can still access Mitcham Lane:

  • Traffic that needs to access the junction of Mitcham Lane and Streatham High Road will be diverted left onto Ambleside Avenue, right onto Tooting Bec Gardens and back onto Mitcham Lane.

  • Bus routes G1, 57, 201, 249, 315, 319 and 333 will also be subject to the above diversion.
