Map of Gaps

mapofgaps.jpgI've just come across this campaign from the End Violence Against Women campaign and the Equalities and Human Rights Commission, which I urge you to visit and get involved in.

The website maps services that work primarily to eradicate violence against women, and provide support to female victims/survivors of attack and abuse.

The web is becoming increasingly important to politics and campaigning, and this is an effective way of simultaneously publicising the services that are available locally, and putting pressure on local authorities to increase their provision.

At the moment Wandsworth only has 2 crisis and support centres, compared to Lambeth's 7.

I will be campaigning to get Wandsworth to increase their provision and make this a priority.

You can help by visiting the website here and using their email facility to lobby Wandsworth Council to do better.
